Investiture Ceremony
“The Lord has done great things for us. We are glad.” (Psalm.120:3)
Investiture Ceremony was an occasion for Mary Ann students to display their fine leadership qualities.On 9th July 2022, the nominated students from Classes 9 & 11 delivered fiery speeches and described their plans under their prospective leadership, if they were to be elected.
The casting of votes by the students began on 10th July 2022 in the morning. At 12.00 in the noon election committee opened the ballot boxes and counted the votes. To the eagerly awaiting young voters the results were declared at 1.00 pm.
The investiture ceremony was conducted on 11th July 2022 amidst the cheering and excited students. The newly elected Student Council stepped into the leadership role and took an oath to deliver their duties promptly and striving to impact the school community positively on the path to success. The young leaders not only were expected to guide but also inspire other students to make a difference on student community with their strategic planning, problem-solving, organisational and communication skills
The ‘Investiture Ceremony’ was held with great solemnity. There was an aura of expectancy as the beaming faces of the selected student pupil leaders marched into the gathering accompanied by the school band. They received their prestigious badges and sash from the Principal. Along with them class leaders, Assistant Class Leaders, Monitors, Assistant monitors and spoken English leaders also received their leader badges and sashes. It was a pleasant view to see the gallery of newly elected leaders all beaming with new enthusiasm. Thanya .S.S of grade 11, the newly elected Student Pupil Leader and C.Calvin Joe of grade 9 elected as Assistant Pupil Leader pronounced the oath along with all the leaders pledging to serve the school and fulfill their responsibilities to the best of their abilities.
