Annual Sports Meet

The eventful day began with a prayer through a devotional singing and a showering of blessings through classical dance.

Chief Educational Officer Mrs.Karthika graced the occasion as the distinguished guest of the day. National flag, Olympic flag and school flag were hoisted ceremoniously. The drumbeats of the school band with the bugle synchronized the swing of arms in the march past. The four distinctive houses Blue, Green, Yellow and Red with its patron’s names St.Paul, St.John, St.Peter and St.Francis were led by the captains and the whole marchpast headed by the SPL and ASPL.

The Olympic torch was lit and was passed on to the outstanding athletes of the school. The Olympic flame ignited the passion of the sportsmanship. The Sports meet was declared open and the oath was taken. The teachers were on their toes throughout the day on the ground guiding the track events and field events for each of the classes. Rhythmic displays of rainbow umbrellas, balloons, wreaths, pompoms, dumb bells, coconut shellsand bamboo sticks made the day colorful. The drills radiated the vigor and energy of all its participants.

The moving pyramid was the culmination of all team work and coaching of the students.

District Educational Officer Mr.Udaya Kumar addressed the gathering and encouraged the students. Prize distribution was done by the honored guest awarding them with the medals and certificates, and crowning them with the wreaths on victory stand. The parents participation was even more awesome and another highlight of the day. They jovially involved in ‘bombing the city’ game in the right sportsman spirit.

The overall trophy was bagged by the champions of blue house representing St.Paul and first runner up by the green house with its patron St.John.The sportsmeet was indeed a memorable day.
